Sound Discipline is working for a world where children know they belong and can learn and thrive. We partner with educators, organizations, and families to transform schools into equitable learning communities.
Positive Discipline in the Classroom: Sound Discipline offers our trauma informed Positive Discipline training for K-12 educators in school sponsored and participant sponsored settings. Sound Discipline offered 24 full trainings and many partial and supplemental trainings. In addition Sound Discipline supported 13 schools using the whole school model with ongoing training for the entire staff. Sound Discipline trained approximately 520 educators serving about 8,000 students. Due to COVID-19 in the 4th quarter of the fiscal year service delivery was in virtual online platforms.
Data Teams & Consulting: Providing coaching and training to school discipline data teams. Teams used school level discipline data and monitored and evaluated trauma informed interventions. Also provided consultation for working with students in each school with the most challenging behaviors using a trauma-informed, strengths based approach. Provided Coaching/data team training for 15 schools representing approximately 600 educators serving approximately 9,000 students. Due to COVID-19 in the 4th quarter of the fiscal year service delivery was in virtual online platforms.
Trauma Informed Practices Training: Provided training in practical tools for building resilience for educators and community members in Washington, Oregon and California. In the 4th quarter due to COVID-19 program delivery was virtual. The team offered 45 separate trainings serving more than 2,000 educators and community members.
