WITH PUBLIC FUNDING THROUGH KING COUNTY, THE PROGRAM SPIN GIRLS CONTINUES TO BUILD LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND PROVIDE IMMERSIVE STEM EXPERIENCES SPECIFICALLY FOR GIRLS OF COLOR. THE INITIAL CLASS WAS PROVIDED TO 60 8TH AND 9TH GRADE GIRLS AND ALSO PAIRED THEM WITH PROFESSIONALS OF COLOR AS MENTORS.
