Urban Sketchers promotes the art of on-location sketching, through workshops, an annual conference, and an on-line community.
The 10th Annual Symposium was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands bringing over 800 artists from 47 different countries for workshops, sketching, lectures and demos. There expenses were primarily travel, lodging for workshop instructors and rent for the venues, catering for opening and closing ceremonies and costs of the events management team.
The Urban Sketchers website and Drawing Attention newsletter shares curated artworks and storytelling by our members and lets our community of over 175,000 sketchers know of upcoming events and events happening around the world in their particular location.
The Urban Sketchers workshop program sponsored 44 sketching workshops, led by instructors in over 34 cities internationally. In addition 12- 10x10 workshop series were held in 11 cities internationally.
