Organizations Filed Purposes:
ADFM is the organization of departments of family medicine and is devoted to transforming care, education, and research to promote health equity and improve the health of the nation.
The ADFM Annual Meeting content is focused on the needs of their members in performing their jobs as chairs of academic departments of family medicine, provision of of listserv for sharing of ideas among members, study of critical issues facing departments around medical students and resident teaching, clinical service delivery and research, development of a website with enhanced resources and a database tied to individual member departments. The conference hosts close to 200 department chairs and their administrators annually.
