IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING ALL MEALS FOR RESIDENTS, TERRACE RESIDENTS ENJOY THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES: A 3-POOL AQUATIC AND FITNESS CENTER, A STATE-OF-THE-ART WOODSHOP, ACTIVITIES PROGRAM, NURSING SERVICES, ACCESS TO THERAPY ASSISTANCE, COUNSELING ASSISTANCE, A CHAPLAIN AND CHAPEL, BEAUTY SALON, LIBRARY, COFFEE SHOP, AND A SPECIAL EVENT PRIVATE DINING ROOM. RESIDENTS REMIT MONTHLY PAYMENTS FOR INDEPENDENT AND ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES. IN 2020, THIS FACILITY HAD 83.5% AVERAGE OCCUPANCY.
RIVERVIEW CARE CENTER PROVIDED SKILLED NURSING SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS INSIDE THE RIVERVIEW COMMUNITY AS WELL AS TO THOSE IN THE GREATER SPOKANE AREA THROUGH MAY 2020. A WIDE RANGE OF SERVICES WERE PROVIDED FROM SHORT-TERM REHABILITATION TO END-OF-LIFE CARE. THE FACILITY HAD 75 LICENSED BEDS AND A WELL-OUTFITTED THERAPY GYM. PROFESSIONAL THERAPY STAFF OFFERED SPEECH, VOCATIONAL, AQUATIC, OCCUPATIONAL AND PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. DURING SECOND QUARTER OF 2020 THE CARE CENTER WAS CLOSED BECAUSE OF COVID OUTBREAK POTENTIAL DUE TO FOUR ROOMS SHARING ONE BATHROOM, ALL FACILITY ROOMS SHARING ONE HVAC SYSTEM, SHORTAGE OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, AND CONSTRAINED SUPPLY OF CLINICAL EMPLOYEES. 20 OF THE 37 RESIDENTS WERE DISCHARGED TO SAFER ENVIRONMENTS ON THE RIVERVIEW CAMPUS AND 17 OF THE 37 RESIDENTS WERE DISCHARGED TO SAFER ENVIRONMENTS OUTSIDE OF RIVERVIEW.
RIVERVIEW VILLAGE IS MADE UP OF 164 INDEPENDENT LIVING HOMES SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE RIVERVIEW CAMPUS, WHICH COVERS OVER 35 ACRES ALONG THE SPOKANE RIVER. VILLAGE RESIDENTS ENJOY THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES: A 3-POOL AQUATIC AND FITNESS CENTER, ACCESS TO NURSING, COUNSELING, AND THERAPY SERVICES, A CHAPLAIN, GROUNDS CARE (LAWN MOWING, GARDENS AND SNOW REMOVAL), MAINTENANCE SERVICES, A STATE-OF-THE-ART WOODSHOP, AND AN ACTIVITIES PROGRAM. RESIDENTS PURCHASE AN UNLIMITED RIGHT TO OCCUPY WITH AN ENTRANCE FEE. WHEN A RESIDENT VACATES, THE VACATING RESIDENT RECEIVES A REFUND OF 80% OF THE ENTRANCE FEE WHEN THE HOME IS REOCCUPIED. RESIDENTS ALSO PAY A MONTHLY FEE. IN 2020, THIS FACILITY HAD 97.8% AVERAGE OCCUPANCY.
