The organization works to improve the economic, social and environmental equity and resilience in communities by forging collaborations, harnessing data and empowering people to discover and develop new ways to solve urban challenges. The organization is currently working on the following projects: - A pilot which enables the intelligent management and control of streetlights using a smart, connected sensor network. - Works in support of Avista Utilities, which obtained a grant from the Washington Department of Commerce and itsClean Energy Fund. The orgainzation is working with several partnersto pilot a Shared Energy Economy model in the University District of Spokane. This model will allow various energy assets to be shared and used for multiple purposes no matter who owns the assets. - Urbanova and Gallup are working together to identify projects that matter to citizens, and they are developing one of the worlds premier people-centeredsmart cities platforms to give municipalities and their stakeholders data and insights they need to improve the social, economic and environmental equity and resiliency of neighborhoods.
