The Center provides innovative, affordable and cooperative ways to resolve differences and often enhances relationships, whether in the workplace or family.
In 2019, the Center celebrated 25 years of continuous conflict resolution services in our community. We invested time and energy in learning to tell our story, including videos during the year, to increase our social media campaign that ended in a public celebration with our Silver Lining Gala in October, 2019. An additional staff member who focuses on community and donor relations helped us increase our donation revenue. Our services included hosting mediation and settlement conference services for 545mediations in our downtown facility with a 60% settlement rate and 95% positive customer satisfaction. In addition, we held nearly 400 small claims mediations in the same facility. The Center mediated 35 foreclosure cases under the0Foreclosure Fairness Act (FFA). Mediators donated more than 2,674 hours to do these Mediations this year.The Center conducted three basic mediation trainings for 65 people. We delivered 10professional continuing education events for our 173 member volunteer mediator Community.The Center held 23 group facilitations that impacted over 1,101 distinct people in organizations and government agencies across our community.The Center conducted additional conflict resolution trainings in our community for over 100 people. Our new program is supporting collaboration between non-profits; public agencies reaching out to listen and act upon constituent needs; as well as increase productivity of work groups across our county. In total, the Center directly and indirectly served over 11,000 members of our community across all services provided.
