Shared Housing Services is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization located in Tacoma, Washington that has been servicing Pierce County for 28 years through home sharing and transitional family housing.In the Adult Home Sharing (AHS) Program, home share matches are facilitated between caring homeowners needing assistance and/or income to maintain independence with individuals needing a safe, affordable place to call home. The Transitional Family Housing (TFH) Program house twelve families experiencing homelessness in the twelve units located on Shared Housing Services property. While housed, Shared Housing Services provides case management support to assist the families to work through barriers preventing them from being self-sufficient and obtaining permanent housing.The Adult Homesharing (AHS) Program completed 69 home sharing matches in 2019 (a 38% increase vs. 2018) and served 174 clientsThe Youth Host Home (YHH) Program housed 32 young people in 2019 (a 23% increase vs. 2018).The Transitional Family Housing (TFH) Program served 14 families, comprised of 19 adults and 25 minors) in 2019.
