Reduce health disparities of the Somali Immigrants and refugees and to and improve health otucomes withing the communities.
The organization's main objective is to reduce health disparities of the Somali immigrants and refugees through advocacy. One of the major accomplishments is putting together an annual health fair for this community where participants receive free-healthare screening. 1) Held successful annual health fair and autism awareness events that attracted 350 community members combined. 2)Successful enrolled and actively engage 186 kids (ages 6-13) in a healthy eating/nutrition/soccer activities throughout the year. 3)In collaboration with the health boards coalitions, advocated for International Medial Graduates to get in residency programs in WA state. 4)Reached more than 4,000 in all our events combined, in partnership with
local organizations in addressing health disparities and social determinants of health. 5)Supported 9 different community events in Seattle/King County through events sponsorhips.
