Workshops included a District Profile Panel which covered a variety of situations, challenges and successes faced by districts. Topics also covered issues such as Water & Sewer Utility Emergency Management, Pharmaceuticals in Wastewater, Options for Reclaiming or Recycling Water, Legal Updates on Public Works Projects in Washington State and Competency Based Training Systems for Water & Wastewater Facilities.
B.2019 Fall Conference, September 18, 19, 20, 2019, Northern Quest Resort, Airway Heights, WA. This annual fall conference, also focused on education for elected district commissioners and district management included: A District Profile Panel focused on sharing experiences regarding Communication, Culture and Change and Collaborative Efforts. Topics also covered issues such as Succession Planning, Changes in the Drinking Water Contaminant Landscape, Water Regulations among other topics.
C.Conducted the annual Commissioners workshop on Saturday, January 26, 2019. This one day seminar provided class instruction on Auditor Matters, Ethics, Roles and Responsibilities of Commissioners, an Attorney Update on a variety of Legal Topics including GMA/County & City Comprehensive Plans, Excise Taxes, a Legal Update on Public Works Issues as well as an open forum on hot topics.
