Organizations Filed Purposes: Through community partnerships and the effort of volunteers, we promote bicycle access, education, safety and the enjoyment of cycling to the children and adults of SW Washington. In simple terms, that translates to getting more people out riding bikes.

Bike Shop - Retail new and used bicycles and bike components. Community work benches are available for the public use. It is the headquarters of our Bike2leadership program. We perform community service of recycling metal bike frames and components to save them from becoming landfill material. We service the Vancouver School District fleet of bicycles for our Middle School Program to teach the Safe Routes to School Program and Bicycle Safety for PE classes. Additionally, the bike shop purchases new helmets to donate to the middle schools so that the students can keep them after completion of the course.

Summer Camps - Bike of Clark County partners with the City of Vancouver Parks and Recreation to provide week long summer camps for students ages 6-14. We provide five weeks of camp for students to learn Safe Route to school program. They learn the rules of the road and basic bicycle maintenance. They also learn the ABC's of cycling: Air in the tires, brakes work, and chain is lubricated. Daily, the students bike to various destinations throughout the city including the Pearson Air Museum, the Historic Fort Vancouver National Historic site, and the Water Resource education center.

Bike to Leadership - This program is for high school students located in Clark County. It is a six week course which teaches the students the rules of the road, safe cycling practices, and how to incorporate public transportation with their bicycles. In addition, this program teaches resume building, conflict resolution, and employment skills. The students get certified in First Aid and CPR. They are also required to do community outreach and advocacy within our community. Upon graduation, the students receive a new or refurbished bicycle, a front and rear light, a helmet, a mini tool kit, a mini pump and a Bike to Leadership T-shirt.
