JHCE provided funding support for clinical research designed to confirm the benefits that exercise, nutrition and other wellness techniques have on living a healthier life with multiple sclerosis. Clinical research will measure outcomes and impacts to individuals struggling with the disease effects, and determine the reduction of health complications which result from incorporating wellness as a treatment option. The secondary goal is to obtain evidence of physical improvements which reduce the cost of care for MS patients and enable support for wellness programs by traditional insurance programs.
JHCE launched a strategic initiative to expand programming opportunities for Can Do MS through collaborative relationships with other organizations. This strategic initiative is adopted as part of the strategic plan for Can Do MS and activity is supported by JHCE.
