To reinforce and support the family unit as the most important influence in a child's life, by providing services that encourage social competence, raise self-esteem and foster independence.
Chelan Douglas Child Services Association (CDCSA) plans, administers and operates health and education programs for children and to further child development and parental skills through training. As children leave CDCSA they will have the social competence, skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success in school and for later learning and life; demonstrated through developmentally appropriate progression on meeting goals in social and emotional development, language development, literacy knowledge and skills, approaches to learning, cognition and general knowledge, physical well-being and motor development.As parents leave CDCSA they will have the knowledge and understanding that they are their childs first and most important teacher and advocate, and knowledge and skills to make a difference in the life and learning of their child.The Association served approximately 531 children during the fiscal year ended 10/31/2019.Community partners donated: use of facilities with an approximate rental fair value of $ 348,696 and specialists, goods & services valued at $ 312,070. These are not reflected in either the Statement of Revenue or Statement of Functional Expenses. Also many individuals volunteer their time and perform a variety of tasks that assist the Association.
