Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP ON ISSUES OF REGIONAL SIGNIFICANCE BY FACILITATING THE PLANNING, COORDINATION, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INITIATIVES WHICH PROMOTE A SUSTAINABLE RURAL LIFESTYLE FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.

Master Participating agreement with the USFS to accelerate landscape scale forest restoration on the Chelan and Okanogan counties approximately 75,000 acres of USFS lands. By using scientifically sound restoration treatments creating more resilient terrestrial and aquatic landscape. Protect and restore watershed conditions, reponds to natural fire and mitigate risk in the form of agreements Chelan Fire Pilot:Upper Wenatchee Pilot Project, Lake Wenatchee Fire Adapted Communities and Cascadia TREX. Also funds the Manastash Taneum-going to bid Sept 2019The mission of the Forest Service is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the nations forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations

YYAKIMA TRIBUTARY ACCESS AND HABITAT PROGRAM (YTAHP) is dedicated to salmon recovery in Yakima Basin with healthy salmon, streams, and communities. We do this by working with conservation entities across the Yakima Basin to identify and prioritize projects that include the removal or replacement of human made barriers, screening irrigation diversions and irrigation diversion improvements of other passage obstacles. This possible by working with local conservation, state, federal and many other entities. Another primary purpose is to assist farmers to voluntarily implement best management practices that both improve conditions for salmon and promote working with lands.

Fire Adapt: The RC&D continued work implementing a grant the Bureau of Land Management to coordinate the Washington Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network (WA FAC LN). The grant covered expenses of WA FAC LN starting late November 2014. The WA FAC LN addresses Wildland Urban Interface issues, programs and assistance to connect and empower communities to create fire adapted communities and landscapes. The US Bureau of Land Management is supporting continued work for this project with a cooperative agreement. The communities implemented innovative fire adapted communities programs and shared what they learned throughout the network. RC&D will continue this project through 2017 into 2020.
