Organizations Filed Purposes:
To promote a health care culture where physicians achieve balance in their lives and derive joy in their practice of medicine; where there is a commitment to communication, collaboration, care, and compassion; where mutal respect and trust characterize professional interactions; and where physician goals and hospital mission are aligned. The Coalition's role is to cultivate physician and administrative champions in clinics and hospitals; develop resources for program development; and provide consultation and facilitation for interested organizations.
Providing resources that promote physician well-being, enchancing the social and support network among members, collate research on physician well-being; and educate physicians on "best practices" that can be adopted for use in their professional and personal lives.
During 2018, Coalition for Physician Well-Being, Inc. conducted an annual conference open to members, interested persons and others in the healthcare industry, sponsored monthly webinars on topics of interest to its members, held monthly executive committee meetings to discuss organizational development and held monthly engagement committee meetings to understand the needs of the members and non-members of the organization. In addition, the educational goals of the organization were supported by the Medicus Integra survey, which is a resource offered by the organization to provide metrics for assessing progress in program development related to physician resilience and well-being.
