ACCESS-LIFE, INC. IS A CHRISTIAN MINISTRY WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO CONNECT PEOPLE IMPACTED BY DISABILITIES WITH CHURCHES, ORGANIZATIONS, RESOURCES AND PEOPLE WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY.

In 2019 Access-Life, Inc. planned and executed 4 Expo outreaches including our 26th one in FL, our 8th one in TX and our 10th one in TN as well as our 5th international mission trip with an Expo and outreaches in Belize. The venues included West Palm Beach, Grapevine, Jefferson City and Roaring Creek. Overall, 3,260 people including participants, volunteers and exhibitors attended these free events for individuals and families with disabilities that feature boat rides, bank fishing, kayaking, archery, animals, games, arts, crafts, lunch and more. Our average attendance was 815 people per event which was the highest since the ministry began in 2010. The best number however was two: the number of people who prayed to receive Jesus as savior at our Expos this year. The 3 ramps we built in Belize including one at a school this year along with the over 100 mobility items and countless medical supplies given out at the Expo and on our community outreach visits there were bonus blessings to our domestic events. Although the funding for these Expo outreaches comes from a variety of people, churches, businesses and organizations, three Life Support Banquet fundraisers were held in East Tennessee, North Texas and West Palm Beach throughout the year to help provide all the finances needed to execute these domestic outreach events. As Expos are the main focus of our ministry efforts the addition of giving participants the opportunity to give back through collecting mobility items and medical supplies at each domestic venue to be distributed in Belize was again a great initiative in 2019. Our Crafting Community program partners even knitted dish clothes to add to the hygiene kits given out there. We continued to share praises and prayer requests from each outreach with our prayer team as part of the Prayer and Care program, too. There was also a continued focus on our area Spring Fling and Christmas Jingle and Mingle Outpost activities this year resulting in nearly 200 participants and volunteers involved in these local led activities. Finally, in order to gain staff support for the growing numbers and programing for individuals and families living with disabilities we kicked off our intern program hired our first intern. 2019 was another year of God meeting the needs for the ministry financially as we received $213,370.51 [our highest total to date] in support from a variety of donor sources. He has continued to bless our funding each year including $184,816.62 in 2018, $184,860.16 in 2017, $183,067.41 in 2016, $196,646.99 in 2015, $157,413.83 in 2014, $160,208.81 in 2013, $139,231.00 in 2012, $118,171.00 in 2011 and $55,311.00 our inaugural year of 2010. Going forward the ministry intends to maintain our 4 Expo schedule [Belize, West Palm Beach, North Texas and East Tennessee] as well as holding Spring Flings and Jingle and Mingles locally in these established ministry areas. We will be adding a third type of Outpost activity geared more towards sports called GymBALLooza in 2020, too. Also, per our 3-5 year ministry plan we will be further establishing our intern program and looking to add a full-time staff person in the near future.
