Organizations Filed Purposes: WE ARE A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO MAKING A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN FROM ECONOMICALLY CHALLENGED FAMILIES WITH THE GOAL OF PREPARING CHILDREN FOR A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO LEARNING AND EMPOWERING THEIR FAMILIES TO BUILD A BRIGHTER FUTURE. THROUGH EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE, AND A POWERFUL SUPPORT SYSTEM OF TEACHERS AND STAFF THAT TRULY CARE. WE BELIEVE EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO LEARN, GROW, AND EXPERIENCE SUCCESS IN SCHOOL AND LIFE REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY.WE ARE THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN THIS COMMUNITY WHO ARE TRYING SO HARD TO KEEP UP WITH THE DEMANDS OF EVERYDAY LIFE.WE ARE THE CHILDREN WHO NEED HELP WITH ACCESSING OPPORTUNITIES THAT GIVE US FOOD, SHELTER, AN EDUCATION AND A STRONG FAMILY.WE ARE THE COMMUNITY WHO BELIEVE IN SOCIAL INVESTMENT AND UNDERSTAND THAT THE BEST CONTRIBUTION WE CAN MAKE IS IN THE ADULTS OF TOMORROW.WE ARE FLORENCE FULLER CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS.

PROVIDE QUALITY CHILDCARE, EDUCATION, AND FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAMS.

THE EARLY EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVES 580 YOUNGSTERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 6 WEEKS AND 5 YEARS, FROM FAMILIES LIVING AT OR BELOW THE FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL. FFCDC PROVIDES INDIVIDUALIZED INFANT CARE AND QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, UTILIZING A RESEARCH-BASED CURRICULUM THAT ENCOURAGES SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT. IN ADDITION, HEALTH CARE AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SCREENINGS AND INTERVENTIONS ARE PROVIDED TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS ANY CONCERNS THAT MAY INTERFERE WITH A CHILD'S ABILITY TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. TWO BALANCED MEALS PLUS A HEALTHY SNACK ARE PROVIDED DAILY. THIS HOLISTIC APPROACH ENCOMPASSING ALL DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS ENSURES THAT YOUNG CHILDREN ARE PREPARED TO ENTER SCHOOL ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH SCHOOL-ORIENTED MILESTONES AND LIFELONG ACHIEVEMENT.

THE AFTERSCHOOL/SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM SERVES 250 KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE CHILDREN LIVING IN LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS WHO ATTEND LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. TRANSPORTATION TO THE CENTERS IS AVAILABLE FROM SEVERAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN SOUTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY. OUR PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME SERVICES THAT INCLUDE HOMEWORK HELP, ACADEMIC SUPPORT/TUTORING, ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMING, HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH SCREENINGS, AND INTERVENTIONS, ENSURING THAT CHILDREN HAVE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND ULTIMATELY IN LIFE. NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS ARE SERVED WHILE CHILDREN ARE ENGAGED IN HEALTHY ACTIVITIES THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNAVAILABLE.

PARENTS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF A CHILD'S CHANCES FOR SUCCESS IN SCHOOL. AS SUCH, FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR MORE THAN 630 PARENTS, CAREGIVERS, AND EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS THROUGH OUR SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY. SERVICES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PARENT EDUCATION, ASSISTANCE WITH ACCESSING ECONOMIC SUPPORT, FINANCIAL EDUCATION, ASSISTANCE WITH JOB TRAINING, RESUME WRITING, PREPARING A JOB APPLICATION, HEALTH AND NUTRITION, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES FOR OTHER NEEDED SERVICES, AND INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY THERAPY. OUR GOAL IS TO ENSURE THAT OUR CHILDREN GO HOME EACH NIGHT TO STRONG, HEALTHY, STABLE FAMILIES THAT POSITIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO OUR COMMUNITY, AND WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH US TO PREPARE OUR CHILDREN FOR LONG-TERM HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS.
