Organizations Filed Purposes:
A united voice on behalf of all children to promote and encourage quality professional family child care through education, legislation, advocacy, mentoring, caring and love.
Scholarship Services: Received Grants from the Department of Children and Families, 4Cs Early Head Start, Orange County SRC, Benevity and A-Plus Insurance which FFCCHA awarded 373 full or partial scholarships to home child care providers for educational, and leadership training purposes and/or obtain or renew nationally recognized professional credentials - 75 Full or partial scholarships to obtain education credentials and Gold Seal Accreditation status - 43 in-service Registration Scholarships for trainings in various counties throughout Florida - 49 Training scholarships to the Leadership Summit held in Ocala - 298 Virtual On-line Training scholarships
Annual conference: Due to circumstances beyond our control with COVID -19 safety related issues, stay at home orders and group gatherings restrictions, our Annual Conference was canceled. FFCCHA move to more online trainings. This was our first experience in offering Virtual On-line training.
Information DisseminationThe publications include information on quality care, professional development opportunities, credentials and certifications. They are also posted to our website, available at the state conference and meetings, and to be disseminated in our informational packets and yearly mailings to other organizations such as the Early Learning Coalitions, some military providers and staff, Legislators, USDA Food Program Sponsors, Community & state colleges offering early child hood courses, local Resource and Referral Agencies, local Licensing offices, and other local or statewide supporters. Created 4 issues (16-24 pages each) 2514 total copies of newsletter, The Grapevine, during the 2019-2020. Developed, updated and printed over 13,500 brochures and flyers which were disseminated to the registered and licensed family child care providers, Early Learning Coalitions, Head Start and to State and Community college Network members that offer early childhood courses and degrees, USDA Food Program sponsors, FFCCHA advocate members, and available at our displays at state meetings, local early childhood conferences and at the capitol in April for Childrens Week. We purchased 12 retractable table top banners (7 in English and in Spanish) for Conferences and meeting displays. Purchased Resource books to dissemination to family child care providers.
