Organizations Filed Purposes:
Through various golf and other fundraising venues, we provide support to grassroots organizations serving the needs of women, girls and children in our community. We carefully select annual beneficiaries through a formal grant application process.
Being selected as one of the 80 national charities supported by Liberty Mutual has been a major accomplishment for SWP. With the Liberty Mutual Invitational (LMI) sponsorship benefitting Swinging With Purpose(tm) (SWP), we have increased the value and experience of the golf tournament for the players. The LMI provides a sponsorship package valued at $50,000 and reduces the SWP expenses and gives us an opportunity to increase the tournament fees. The tournament results provide a greater return (net after expenses) for our beneficiaries. The inaugural LMI golf tournament was held in May 2018 Continued: SWP also does miscellaneous fundraising venues to build a fund to support unforeseen needs and other smaller organizations during the year. As a result, we were able to provide miscellaneous support to organizations in need. These organizations may or may not have been within the family of 2018 beneficiaries. This was a lesson learned as a result of Hurricane Irma when we were able to step in and offer assistance from an emergency fund held by SWP.
