The youth speech contest program has been a long standing tradition of Nassau County Farm Bureau. Through this one event we are able to provide an enriching learning experience for not only the students who participate in this contest but also the judges who get to learn from these students. The topic this year was 'what are the three major challenges you feel is faced by Florida's agriculture.' Students were asked to research the topic and present to a panel of industry professionals.
At the Northeast Florida Fair we set up a booth to promote, educate and raise awareness on the betterment of local agriculture. We also educate the public about our organization's mission & purpose along with ways to get involved in youth programs.
Nassau County Farm Bureau hosts its annual Farm City Week breakfast in November. This event raises awareness regarding the food we eat as it relates to farmers and agriculture. We use this event to educate, promote and preserve agriculture as a whole by incorporating rural and urban communities.
