Organizations Filed Purposes: MARCH FOR OUR LIVES' (MFOL) MISSION IS TO HARNESS THE POWER OF YOUNG PEOPLE ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO FIGHT FOR SENSIBLE GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION POLICIES THAT SAVE LIVES.

SEE PART III, LINE 1.

CHAPTERS AND MOVEMENT BUILDING: OUR GRASSROOTS NETWORK ALLOWS MORE YOUTH TO TAKE ON A BIGGER ROLE IN OUR MOVEMENT AND IN THE POLITICAL PROCESS, AND IT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG TO CREATE CHANGE AT ALL LEVELS. MFOL'S 250+ CHAPTERS ARE WORKING TO CREATE CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. CHAPTERS REGISTER VOTERS, LOBBY STATE LEGISLATURES, ORGANIZE TOWN HALLS AND RALLIES, AND MORE. WE ARE INVESTING IN OUR CHAPTERS WITH DEDICATED STAFF AND TRAINING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND AT OUR ANNUAL SUMMIT. THEY WILL BE OUR ENGINE TO REGISTER YOUNG VOTERS AND MOBILIZE YOUTH VOTER TURNOUT IN 2020 AND BEYOND.

ADVOCACY AND LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS: WE WORK WITH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND STATE LEGISLATURES TO PUSH FOR LIFE-SAVING LAWS. WE TESTIFY BEFORE CONGRESS. WE PACK HEARING ROOMS FOR BILL MARKUPS. WE DIRECT THOUSANDS OF CALLS AND EMAILS TO ELECTED OFFICIALS. AND OUR STUDENT POLICY TEAM IN D.C. HAS FORMED CLOSED RELATIONSHIPS WITH CONGRESSIONAL LEADERSHIP. BY LAUNCHING THE PEACE PLAN, OUR GROUNDBREAKING POLICY PLATFORM, WE'RE NOT JUST ANOTHER VOICE IN THE LEGISLATIVE CONVERSATION - WE'RE DRIVING IT FORWARD.

ARTISTIC ACTIVISM "ARTIVISM": WE BELIEVE THAT WE NEED TO FUNDAMENTALLY SHIFT AMERICA'S RELATIONSHIP WITH GUNS, AND ART IS ONE OF OUR MOST POWERFUL WAYS TO BREAK THROUGH. OUR ARTISTIC PROJECTS BRING YOUNG PEOPLE INTO OUR MOVEMENT WHO MIGHT NOT SEE THEMSELVES AS TRADITIONAL ACTIVISTS, BUT WHO HAVE AN ESSENTIAL ROLE TO PLAY IN OUR FIGHT TO SAVE LIVES. MARCH FOR OUR LIVES NOT ONLY CREATES OUR OWN ART INSTALLATIONS, BUT WE ALSO PARTNER WITH IMPORTANT ORGANIZATIONS LIKE CHANGE THE REF, AN ORGANIZATION STARTED BY MANUEL AND PATRICIA OLIVER WHO LOST THEIR SON JOAQUIN IN THE PARKLAND SCHOOL SHOOTING, TO CREATE ART ON LOSS AND GUN VIOLENCE THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.
