Organizations Filed Purposes: Working for the betterment of all agriculture and to increase the net income of farmers and ranchers as well as to improve the quality of rural life.

Farm City Week is a program which the American farmer and the general public, government agencies and local agencies are made aware of the importance of agriculture. We use this opportunity to increase understanding, cooperation, and relationships between rural and urban residents. Agriculture is constantly misunderstood and improvements can be made by understanding issues. During Farm City Week, we distributed fresh, locally grown vegetables along with corn meal and peanut butter to those in need to help with their Thanksgiving meal.

Okaloosa County Farm Bureau hosted several ag in the classroom events during the course of they year where children were educated on the importance of agriculture. During the pandemic schools were shut down so we decided to create videos which were posted through social media to continue to educate students on the importance of agriculture. We have also continued to place accurate agriculture books in local and public libraries.

Each year, Okaloosa County Farm Bureau offers scholarships to graduating seniors in the county. Students must be a child or grandchild of a member and attend a college, university or trade school majoring in an agriculture-related field.
