Organizations Filed Purposes:
To represent a voice in the agribusiness community and our county. To provide member services that benefit our membership.
Pasco County Farm Bureau is very involved with youth promotion in our county. We sponsor youth speech contests to promote a stronger interest & clearer understanding of the many aspects of agriculture. We sponsor 4-H programs & offer a college scholarship for graduating seniors. Some of our members host a farm tour for local 4th graders. We continue to work towards the betterment of agriculture.
Ag Literacy Day and Ag Venture programs are used to educate students on the importance of agriculture. Book and farm tours are used to explain where our food comes from and teach students to appreciate the hard work farmers perform on a daily basis to feed communities.
Leadership development is an important program in our Farm Bureau. Pasco is a rapidly developing area in Florida. Local and State agency rules effect how our farmers are able to farm. Developing community leadership helps the betterment of agriculture by bringing agriculture knowledge to the development of regulations.
