Haitian and American partners, working side by side in mutually-transformative relationships, to build vibrant, hopeful, and resilient communities on the island of la Gonve.
LHP supports ten primary schools and one secondary school in ten different communities on the island of La Gonave, Haiti. These schools, in total, educate 1,300 students. The partnership provides financial support for teacher salaries, textbooks, school supplies and uniforms.

The partnership has a multi-faceted healthcare initiative. The foundation is the Bill Rice Clinic, located in Nouvelle Cite. The clinic is staffed by Haitians. In addition to the clinic, the healthcare initiative includes a 20 community health workers, 20 traditional birth attendants and laboratory personnel. The partnership supports a maternal health program of remote medical clinics, a childrens nutrition program and provides financial support for the purchase of medicines in country.
