THE SOLE OBJECTIVE IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT CHILDREN IN THE WELFARE SYSTEM. FUNDS RAISED BY AND DONATIONS TO BROWARD CARES FOR KIDS FOUNDATION ARE USED EXCLUSIVELY TO BENEFIT THE ABUSED, ABANDONED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN OF BROWARD COUNTY WHO HAVE BEEN FORMALLY PLACED IN THE LOCAL CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES CHILDNET, INC. AND THEIR PROVIDERS WITH AN ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF FUNDING TO FACILITATE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SERVICES NOT CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE FOR STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDING.
In 2007, broward cares for kids foundation raised enough money to purchase a housing facility. This facility is used by Childnet and other organizations to develop and subcontract for creative new group care programs. Broward cares for kids foundation rented this facility to Reyna Group Home for the purpose of aiding the organizations exempt function of providing services to the abused, abandoned and neglected children in the welfare system.
