COVENANT HOUSE FLORIDA WILL CONTINUE TO FULFILL ITS MISSION BY PROVIDING SHELTER AND SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHO ARE HOMELESS OR AT GREAT RISK. WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REUNITE KIDS WITH THEIR FAMILIES. WE WILL COLLABORATE WITH COMMUNITY AGENCIES AND ASSOCIATIONS AND ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF FAMILIES AND CHILDREN. WE WILL ADVOCATE WITH AND ON BEHALF OF YOUTH TO RAISE AWARENESS IN THE COMMUNITY.

TO AID HOMELESS AND RUNAWAY YOUTH BY OFFERING SHELTER, FOOD, CLOTHING, COUNSELING, HEALTH SEVICES, CRISIS INTERVENTION AND OTHER SERVICES.

SHELTER AND CRISIS CARE:COVENANT HOUSE FLORIDA, INC. PROVIDED SHELTER AND CRISIS CARE TO A TOTAL OF 740 UNDUPLICATED YOUTH (540 IN FORT LAUDERDALE AND 200 IN ORLANDO) WHO RECEIVED 31,168 DAYS OF CRISIS CARE (FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, CASE MANAGEMENT, HEALTH SERVICES, PARENTING EDUCATION, INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS INSTRUCTION, INDIVIDUAL/FAMILY COUNSELING, JOB READINESS TRAINING, EDUCATION, ETC.) 22,115 DAYS OF CARE AT THE FORT LAUDERDALE SHELTER AND 8,173 DAYS AT THE ORLANDO SHELTER.

MOTHER/CHILD PROGRAM:THE MOTHER/CHILD PROGRAM PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER, FOOD, AND COUNSELING TO RUNAWAY AND HOMELESS YOUTH WITH INFANTS/TODDLERS. A TOTAL OF 141 MOMS & BABIES WERE HELPED (37 MOTHERS, 43 BABIES IN FT. LAUDERDALE AND 26 MOTHERS, 35 BABIES IN ORLANDO).

RIGHTS OF PASSAGE:THE RIGHTS OF PASSAGE PROGRAM PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL AND RAPID REHOUSING IN SCATTERED SITE APARTMENTS FOR UP TO 24 MONTHS TO YOUTHS, INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING AND HELP WITH COMPLETING EDUCATION AND FINDING/MAINTAINING JOBS AND HOUSING. A TOTAL OF 89 YOUTHS (32 IN FORT LAUDERDALE AND 57 IN ORLANDO) RECEIVED 14,593 DAYS OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING (5,010 IN FT. LAUDERDALE AND 9,583 IN ORLANDO).
