Organizations Filed Purposes: Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Inc. (the "LeagueX or "Organization") is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The League's purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The League's support comes primarily from member dues and contributions.

The League has trained thousands of women to address community needs and to take on leadership roles at every level. Community programs allow members to impact the community through direct involvement of volunteer time. Some of the current projects (program services) of the League are as follows: Food insecurity focuses on packing and serving meals for the homeless and organizing food drives for a local food pantry. Human Trafficking Awareness project is for members to develop and deliver a human trafficking awareness campaign to the community. Education for parents on this topic is lacking, according to the Broward Sherriff's office and the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition. The Child Fitness and Nutrition combines two programs to successfully address the obesity epidemic affecting children living in Broward County through nutrition education and the promotion of a physically active lifestyle. The programs consist of: (1) Healthfully Ever After, a literary adventure through MyPyramid for Kids and (2) Kids in the Kitchen, a program where volunteers show children how to make a healthy snack and coordinate with engageing play activities. Done in a Day program is members coming together to target short term volunteer projects that can be accomplished in a single day. Projects have included, but are not limited to: Serving dinner at Broward Partnership for the Homeless; Organizing a field day for SOS Children's Villages Florida; Sorting food at Feeding South Florida; Collecting and handing out gifts at the Salvation Army toy drive; Painting rooms at Henderson Behavioral Health; Building homes with Habitat for Humanity.
