Organizations Filed Purposes:
Improving communication, strategic planning and sharing of tools among 501(c)3 organizations working to further civic participation; improving the ability of 501(c)3 organization to communicate effectively about civic issues; increasing resources for charitable community organization to ensure every eligible American votes.
Florida Alliance for Civic Engagement made grants to other IRC section 501(c)3 public charity organizations to perform nonpartisan voter registration and civic engagement efforts. Florida Alliance for Civic Engagement also conducted an extensive mail, paid phone, radio and online advertising program to educate the public on issues being debated in the state and increasing awareness of the actions of government officials at the state level. Florida Alliance for Civic Engagement conducted an extensive nonpartisan paid phone and mail follow up program to remind Floridians to return their vote by mail ballots. We also organized and provided information to a coalition of interested 501(c)3 organizations to educate their members and the public about the Constitutional Revision Commission process and about issues being debated.
