Baptist Medical Center Auxiliary raises funds to support the mission of Southern Baptist Hospital of Florida, Inc., a non-profit charitable hospital, and its children's hospital. Some of the primary fund raising activities include gift shop operations for the hospital's visitors and employees using volunteers and a few paid staff, operation of a gourmet coffee shop, baby photography services, and various fund raising activities throughout the year.

BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY, WITH APPROXIMATELY 158 UNPAID VOLUNTEERS, HELD VARIOUS FUND RAISING PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR SUCH AS STAFFING/OPERATING A GIFT SHOP FOR VISITORS AND EMPLOYEES OF SOUTHERN BAPTIST HOSPITAL OF FLORIDA, INC., D/B/A BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER, ITS SUPPORTED 501(C)(3) HOSPITAL. OTHER FUND RAISING EVENTS WERE HELD DURING THE YEAR. NET REVENUES FROM THESE FUND RAISING PROJECTS, AND A PORTION OF GIFT SHOPS, ARE USED TO FUND PURCHASES OF MUCH-NEEDED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND OTHER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE HOSPITAL, PROVIDE NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS, AND FUND VARIOUS PROJECTS FOR THE PATIENTS OF THE HOSPITAL.
