The Nonprofit Center connects, strengthens and advocates for a strong nonprofit community with a vision of a vibrant, inclusive Northeast Florida that is strengthened by - and supportive of - a healthy, high-impact nonprofit sector. A vital resource for the local nonprofit sector, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida (Nonprofit Center) connects nonprofits to the resources they need, producing over 250 trainings and peer learning events each year, publishing original research to benefit the sector and community like the Benefits and Compensation Report (2019) or the Repositioning for Strength Report (2020), and always advocating on behalf of nonprofits. In 2020, over 3,000 people attended Nonprofit Center programs, including over 1,000 virtually after the pandemic began. A membership organization, the day-to-day work of the Nonprofit Center focuses on providing services benefitting the 300 nonprofit organizations that comprise our membership. However, beginning in March, 2020, the Nonprofit Center began an intensive series of trainings, convenings and communications to connect the entire northeast Florida nonprofit community to urgently needed information and resources to help this essential sector respond to the pandemic crisis. The Nonprofit Center became a crucial link to local government, philanthropic, and private sector partnerships and resources. The Nonprofit Centers website, NonprofitCtr.Org, hosts a COVID-19 resource page that is perpetually updated. Our Program Team created an immediate and short-term pandemic response curriculum that made free, expert training available to all nonprofits on a range of topics identified through surveying sector needs. The Nonprofit Center provides extensive and innovative capacity building resources using its Stronger Nonprofits Framework to define and develop both individual organizations and coalitions of nonprofits. In 2020, the relevancy of its mission and work was reaffirmed as nonprofits faced unprecedented challenges to their sustainability. missions.
