Educate public & school children on the environment
Provided educational programs through the Biscayne Nature Center to the public and under-served youths including 480 field trips from the Miami-Dade County Schools, both public and private. Approximately 35,260 guests participated in programs at the Biscayne Nature Center during the fiscal year. Newsletters and invites to special events were sent to over 10,000 Friends of the Biscayne Nature Center. Twelve local and international nature artists exhibits were displayed to the public throughout the year in our Gallery.
Provided summer camp to over 125 youth campers.
Held several beach cleanup and Hammock Restoration days throughout the year - drawing in over 1500 volunteers to help clean up our environment and learn about the environment.
