The mission of the Tennessee Williams Key West Exhibit is to collect, preserve, and showcase historic archival materials directly related to the writings and artistic creations that won Tennessee Williams multiple awards, including two Pulitzer Prizes and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The materials will serve as a resource for scholars, literary enthusiasts, and the general public alike seeking to know and understand more about the man and his global importance and influence and the role that Key West played in nurturing his unique talent.
Continued to provide curated tours of the exhibit for visitors to Key West. On average, provided 15 guided tours and 150 self guided tours each month. Guided tours are usually for groups of up to 20. Expanded the exhibit with photographs of Tennessee Williams by Don Pindor. A large part of the Tennessee Williams Key West Exhibit made a trip to Cuba. Artifacts were on loan to Havana's Museo Nacional De Bellas Artes for its exhibition "Tennessee Williams: Dramaturgo Y Pintor.." Continued the Tennessee Williams Birthday Celebration with contest for poetry, Plein Air painting, and short stories. Also collaborated with the Tropic Cinema to highlight classic films authored by Tennessee Williams.
