CENTRO MATER CHILD CARE SERVICES, INC. IS SPONSORED BY THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MIAMI AND UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF CATHOLIC HEALTH SERVICES, INC. AND SERVES CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN MIAMI DADE COUNTY. ALL FIVE CENTRO MATER CENTERS REMAIN ACCREDITED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD (NAEYC). CENTRO MATER EAST AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS MAINTAINED THE NATIONAL ACCREDITATION FROM THE COUNCIL OF ACCREDITATION. PRESENTLY, OUR AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM IS THE ONLY ONE IN SOUTH FLORIDA WITH THIS NATIONAL ACCREDITATION. CENTRO MATER CHILDCARE SERVICES SERVES A MONTHLY AVERAGE OF 1,200 CHILDREN AND OVER 1,600 UNDUPLICATED CHILDREN PER YEAR.CENTRO MATER EARLY HEAD START PROGRAM HAS A FUNDED ENROLLMENT OF 136 CHILDREN AND SERVED 174. AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM YEAR, OVER 100% OF THE CHILDREN WERE UP-TO-DATE WITH ALL POSSIBLE IMMUNIZATIONS, HAD ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL SERVICES AND 99.29% WERE ENROLLED IN MEDICAL INSURANCE. CENTRO MATER HEAD START PROGRAM HAS A FUNDED ENROLLMENT OF 526 CHILDREN AND WE SERVED 559. AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM YEAR, 99.5% OF CHILDREN WERE UP-TO-DATE WITH ALL POSSIBLE IMMUNIZATIONS AND OVER 99.82% WERE UP-TO-DATE ON SCHEDULE OF PREVENTATIVE AND PRIMARY HEALTH CARE PER THE STATE'S EPSDT SCHEDULE. AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM YEAR, ALL CHILDREN HAD ACCESS TO AN ONGOING SOURCE OF CONTINUOUS HEALTH CARE AND 99.5% WERE ENROLLED IN MEDICAL INSURANCE. THE AGENCY EXCEEDED THE REQUIREMENT OF SERVING AT LEAST 10% OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY FOR BOTH EARLY HEAD START (16.9%) AND HEAD START PROGRAM (10.9%). CENTRO MATER'S AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM SERVED OVER 450 CHILDREN DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR THROUGH THE CHILDREN'S TRUST GRANT. DURING THE SUMMER, WE SUCCESSFULLY PROVIDED VIRTUAL SERVICES FOR APPROXIMATELY 600 CHILDREN ENROLLED IN CHILDREN'S TRUST SUMMER PROGRAM.IN SPITE OF THE PANDEMIC, OUR PROGRAMS WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE PROVIDING SERVICES THROUGH A COMBINATION OF IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL SERVICES. WE SUPPORTED THE FAMILIES PROVIDING "GRAB AND GO" MEALS AND CONDUCTED NUMEROUS FOOD DRIVE WITH THE SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND CITY OF MIAMI AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
