BORINQUEN HEALTH CARE CENTER was organized 48 years ago to serve the Puerto Rican community. The leadership of the Center and its Board of Directors embraced people from all cultures; a tradition that has flourished. Borinquen Medical Centers has a long and proud history of providing a comprehensive range of health and social services to the uninsured and underinsured community in Miami-Dade County. Our affordable quality services are accessible to all people throughout the County through a multi-disciplinary approach. BMC serves a minority population comprised of 54% Hispanic and 43% Haitian. The Board and staff have and continue to dedicate themselves to serving individuals and families in need. We operate 9 clinic locations, a medical mobile coach and 31 school-based clinics. This past year, we provided services to 43,483 individuals and expect this number to grow in the near future.
