THIS VIDEO IS USED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE AMAZING AND INCREDIBLY ENCOURAGING RESEARCH BEING CONDUCTED AT THE MIAMI PROJECT TO CURE PARALYSIS. THIS VIDEO IS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC ON OUR WEBSITE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO MAKES THE VIDEO AVAILABLE BY DVD WHICH IS SENT OUT UPON REQUEST. MR. MARC BUONICONTI HAS PERFORMED SITE VISITS OF THE TOP RATED REHABILITATION CENTERS FOR ADVICE ON DESIGN, EQUIPMENT AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMS NEEDED IN THE CHRISTINE E. LYNN REHABILITATION CENTER FOR THE MIAMI PROJECT.
DARRELL GWYNN QUALITY OF LIFE CHAPTER - WHEELCHAIR DONATION PROGRAM: THE GOAL OF THE PROGAM IS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH PARALYSIS BY ENABLING THEM TO GAIN INDEPENDENCE AND MOBILITY. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS ARE PROVIDED WHEELCHAIRS CUSTOMIZED TO MEET THEIR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS. APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE MEDICAL AND FINANCIAL NEED DOCUMENTATION. THREE WHEELCHAIRS WERE PROVIDED DURING THE CURRENT YEAR. MR. GWYNN OVERSEES THE WHEELCHAIR DONATION PROGRAM OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE CHAPTER AND EDUCATION ABOUT SPINAL CORD INJURIES.
THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PAID LOBBYISTS TO LOBBY THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND FEDERAL LEGISLATURES FOR APPROVAL OF FUNDING FOR SPINAL CORD INJURY RESEARCH IN AN EFFORT TO INCREASE FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR RESEARCH.PUBLIC RELATION FIRMS WERE ENGAGED TO ENHANCE AWARENESS AND SUPPORT OF THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSIONS AND PROGRAM.
