Coral Reef Montessori Academy Charter School's purpose is to collectively educate children with a culturally relevant pedagogy that promotes the pursuit of social justice and strengthens a child's independence, confidence, tolerance and connection to the global community.
The purpose of Coral Reef Montessori Academy is to nurture each unique individual student, thereby awakening independence, confidence, responsibility and the pursuit of knowledge, thus creating a Montessori community to guide the transformation of global interdependence: respecting ourselves, respecting our community, respecting our natural environment, and respecting our universe.
The 2019/20 school year continued to significant growth and achievement. The School received dual Accreditation from the American Montessori Society (AMS) and Cognia, that was formally known as SACS. The Schools was one of only nineteen public schools in the nation to receive the AMS Accreditation that will not expire until 2028. The antecedent for the process was an intensive self-study that paved the way for developing and creating a public Montessori Charter School of the highest caliber, committed to Cultural Relevant Pedagory and Anti-Bias, Anti-Racist practices.
