Organizations Filed Purposes: TO STRENGTHEN THE NURSING COMMUNITY TO ENSURE ADEQUATE ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY EVER IMPROVING NURSING SERVICES. THE NURSING CONSORTIUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA STRENGTHENS RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN NURSES IN PRACTICE AND ACADEMIC SETTINGS, AND PROMOTES AND FACILITATES COLLABORATION AMONG MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND WITH OTHERS TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR STRENGTHENING THE NURSING COMMUNITY TO ENSURE ADEQUATE ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY EVER IMPROVING NURSING SERVICES.

THE NCSF WORKS TO INCREASE THE SUPPLY OF REGISTERED NURSES TO MEET THE HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF SOUTH FLORIDA.

IN 2019, THE NURSING CONSORTIUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA ORGANIZED TWO EDUCATION CONFERENCES EACH ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 250 NURSES. DEVELOPING THE LEADER WITHIN; BECOMING THE LEADER YOU WOULD FOLLOW TOOK PLACE ON APRIL 26, 2019 AND PRESENTED NATIONAL AND REGIONAL INNOVATIONS THAT ARE DRIVING IMPROVED PATIENT OUTCOMES. ROLE TRANSITIONS; MEETING THE FUTURE NEEDS OF NURSING TOOK PLACE ON NOVEMBER 15, 2019 AND PRESENTED NATIONAL AND REGIONAL INNOVATIONS THAT ARE ADVANCING NURSE RESILIENCE AND ENHANCING PATIENT INTERACTIONS IN INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT SETTINGS. ALSO IN 2019, THE NURSING CONSORTIUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA ORGANIZED DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NURSE, A PROGRAM TO EXPOSE HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO THE NURSING PROFESSION ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4. MORE THAN 1,200 STUDENTS FROM FIFTY-FOUR SCHOOLS VISITED FIFTY-FOUR SOUTH FLORIDA HOST FACILITIES INCLUDING HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS OF NURSING. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, THE NURSING CONSORTIUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA ADMINISTERS A WEB BASED SYSTEM FOR SCHEDULING STUDENT NURSE CLINICAL EXPERIENCES IN SOUTH FLORIDA HOSPITALS A TOTAL OF 100 HOSPITALS AND NURSING SCHOOLS USED THE CENTRALIZED CLINICAL PLACEMENT SYSTEM IN 2019.
