Organizations Filed Purposes:
PATCH OF HEAVEN SANCTUARY IS DEDICATED TO PRESERVING THE FOREST AND LOCAL WILDLIFE, AS WELL AS THE INTEGRITY OF THE HISTORIC STRUCTURES LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY.
PATCH OF HEAVEN SANCTUARY IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO CREATING NEW HABITATS FOR NATIVE WILDLIFE THROUGH REFORESTATION AND EDUCATING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY.
CONSERVATION, REFORESTATION AND EDUCATION: THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON PRESERVING, EXPANDING THE FOREST AND PROTECTING THE LOCAL WILDLIFE FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL. DURING 2018 AND 2019, PART OF THE SANCTUARY WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REFORESTED. IN ADDITION, DURING 2018, THE ORGANIZATION BEGAN CONSTRUCTION ON THE LARGEST BAT HOUSE IN FLORIDA TO PROVIDE A HABITAT FOR ENDANGERED FLORIDA BONNETTED BATS AND OTHER LOCAL SPECIES. THE PROJECT IS IN COLLABORATION WITH A GROUP OF SCIENTISTS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO ADVOCATE FOR RESERACH AND CONSERVATION OF BATS IN SOUTH FLORIDA. IN ADDITION, A WETLAND MARSH/MEADOW WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING CONSTRUCTED TO PROVIDE A CLEARING FROM WHICH THE BATS CAN ENTER AND EXIT THE BAT HOUSE. CONSTRUCTION ON THIS PROJECT WAS COMPLETED MID FEBRUARY 2019. THE ORGANIZATION BEGAN AND COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION OF TWO GREENHOUSES AND A TEA HOUSE FOR THEIR ZEN GARDEN IN 2019. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO COLLABORATES WITH YOUNG PEOPLE BY PROVIDING MEANINGFUL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES ABOUT THE NATURAL WORLD THROUGH ITS GEN2050 PROGRAM.
