REBUILDING TOGETHER MIAMI-DADE, INC. IS A NONPROFIT WHOSE MISSION IS REPAIRING HOMES, REVITALIZING COMMUNITIES AND REBUILING LIVES. THE ORGANIZATION RAISES FUNDS FROM THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTOR TO FUND THE REHABILITATION SERVICES PROVIDED TO QUALIGIED HOMEOWNERS. THE ORGANIZATION IDENTIFIES HOME OWNERS WHO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AND ARE QUALIFIED BY THE CRITERIA ESTABLISHED, HOUSES ARE ASSESSED AND WORK SCOPE AGREED UPON. ONCE THERE IS FUNDING, THE HOME REPARES ARE COMPLETED BY SKILLED AND UNSKILLED LABORERS AND VOLUNTEERS.
REBUILDING TOGETHER IS THE NATIONS LEADING NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WORKING TO PRESERVE AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP AND REVITALIZE COMMUNITIES WITH FREE HOME AND FACILITY REPAIRS. OUR AFFILIATE HAS SERVED MIAMI-DADE COUNTYS HOMEOWNER COMMUNITY FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS. IN THAT TIME, WE HAVE MADE CRITICAL SAFETY AND ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS TO MORE THAN 1,000 HOUSEHOLDS SO OUR CLIENTS MAY LIVE IN SAFE AND ACCESSIBLE HOMES, INDEPENDENTLY. ADDITIONALLY, WE ASSIST NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY SPACES WITH FACILITY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS SO THEY MAY DEDICATE THEIR TIME AND RESOURCES TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY. OUR PROGRAMS AIM TO ALLEVIATE THE FINANCIAL BURDENS ASSOCIATED WITH COSTLY REPAIRS AND ALLOW HOMEOWNERS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO DWELL IN SAFE, HEALTHY HOMES WITH PEACE OF MIND. NO TWO HOMES ARE THE SAME, THEREFORE NO TWO WORK SCOPES ARE IDENTICAL. REPAIRS VARY IN SCOPE, RANGING FROM A SMALL ELECTRICAL REPAIR TO A NEW ROOF. QUALIFIED HOMEOWNERS SELECTED FOR OUR PROGRAMS RECEIVE HOME REPAIR SERVICES SPECIFIC TO THEIR NEEDS AND OUR AVAILABLE RESOURCES. APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND PROJECTS ARE COMPLETED AS FUNDING BECOMES AVAILABLE. PARTICIPANT SELECTION IS BASED ON THE FINANCIAL NEED OF THE HOMEOWNER, THE CONDITION OF THE HOME, AND AVAILABLE FUNDING. IN 2019, REBUILDING TOGETHER MIAMI-DADE PROVIDED: 78 HOMES REPAIRED 34 ROOFS REPLACED 2 COMMUNITY SPACES REVITALIZED 68% OF HOUSEHOLD SERVED ARE EXTREMELY LOW INCOME, EARNING LESS THAN 30% OF MIAMI'S AMI 93% OF HOMEOWNERS ARE BIPOC 66% OF RESIDENTS ARE DISABLED 26% OF HOMEOWNERS SERVED ARE VETERANS
