SFCDCs mission is to expand the capacity of the community development field and to develop affordable housing and economic opportunities for low and moderate-income individuals, while promoting collaborative, inclusive policy and practices to invest in people, neighborhoods and social capital throughout Miami-Dade County.

Co-implemented the community scholars in afordable housing and florida thrives leadership programs. SFCDC also co-organized the first local building health and thriving communities, health and community development conferences. SFCDC provides research support and education to promote sound policies that result in positive community outcomes through all of these efforts, SFCDC continued to advance equitable development and community investment in Miami-Dade County.
