THE CHARITY FOR CHANGE PROGRAM IS A COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) CURRICULUM THAT TEACHES CHARACTER, GIVING, AND VOLUNTEERING THROUGH ACADEMICS - REACHING MORE THAN 10,000 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN WEEKLY THROUGH IN-SCHOOL, AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMS. BY COLLABORATING WITH SCHOOLS, CHARITIES, AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS, THE PROGRAM CONNECTS STUDENTS WITH EACH OTHER AND THEIR SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY, DEVELOPING THEIR CHARACTER, CITIZENSHIP, AND EMPATHY FOR OTHERS. THE CHARACTER EDUCATION AND SERVICE LEARNING CURRICULA ENGAGES STUDENTS THROUGH INTERACTIVE, STANDARDS-BASED MATH GAMES, PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, WORD PUZZLES, PUPPET SHOWS, LESSON PLANS, PARENT ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES, CONTESTS, INCENTIVE PRIZES, ANIMATED AND LIVE MASCOT APPEARANCES, VOLUNTEER PROJECTS, CLASSROOM VISITS, AND THANK YOU LETTERS FROM CHARITIES. STUDENTS RESEARCHED 100 CHARITIES AND SELECTED CHARITIES TO SUPPORT. STUDENTS IN THE IN-SCHOOL GIVER PROGRAM CONTRIBUTED TO THEIR CHARITIES BY HOLDING MINI-FUNDRAISERS AND DONATION CHANGE. CHARITIES RECEIVED 100% OF THE STUDENT DONATIONS. STUDENTS EARNED ADDITIONAL DOLLARS FROM CHARITY FOR CHANGE COMMUNITY PARTNERS BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CURRICULA ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS IN MORE THAN 1,000 CLASSROOMS LEARNED ABOUT THE DIRECT IMPACT OF THEIR DONATIONS BY VISITS FROM CHARITY REPRESENTATIVES. STUDENTS VOLUNTEER BY WORKING ON SPECIAL PROJECTS FOR THEIR CHARITIES. THESE SCIENTIFICALLY-PROVEN COMPONENTS BRING STEAM AND SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING TO LIFE PROVIDING A FOUNDATION FOR HIGHER ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND INCREASED PRO-SOCIAL BEHAVIORS, REINFORCING FUTURE EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS, ENHANCING STUDENTS' ABILITY TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL, CAREERS, AND LIFE.
