Path2Freedom exists to create hope and healing for child victims of human trafficking by providing safe environments and long-term programs for recovery.
P2F opened the doors of the Magnolia House, the organization's first safe home for minor girls identified as victims of the commercial exploitation of children (CSEC). The house was established for the purpose of providing a family environment within a trauma-informed program. The organization hired/contracted two full-time house mentors, two part-time house mentors, a program director, a case manager, and a full-time school teacher. The house provides long-term care to girls ages 13-17 years of age. In 2020 the program provided a combined total of 808 safe nights of rest to the children who need it the most. With the launch of the Magnolia Safe House, the organization opened up the on-site Magnolia School and staffed it with a full-time teacher. Here the Magnolia House residents received individualized education tailored to meet their future career goals. The organization provided a combined total of 1,180 hours of individualized education to the residents of the Magnolia House. Equine Therapy & Experiences are one of the primary recreational therapies offered to residents of the Magnolia House. In 2020 the organization paid for equine therapy certification and welcomed two retired racehorses to the Magnolia House property. Residents also received offsite riding lessons.
