SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO ELEVEN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.MEN OF TOMORROW PROGRAM PROVIDED MENTORING TO OVER 350 YOUTH THROUGH SUCH MENTORING ACTIVITIES AS: PROJECT ALPHA TEEN SUMMIT, TEEN GROUP WORKSHOPS, TUTORING SESSIONS, COLLEGE TOURS, COMMUNITY SERVICES EVENTS AND VOLUNTEERING AT CULTURAL EVENTS. ALPHA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HAS DEVELOPED A PROGRAM TO IMPLEMENT THE SEVEN KEY COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT OFFERINGS TO PROVIDE THE RIVIERA BEACH RESIDENTS WITH THE RESOURCES, SKILLS, TRAINING AND POTENTIAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES NEEDED TO STRENGTHEN AND BUILD THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION HAS EMBARKED ON THIS PROGRAM OF EMPOWERMENT AND ENRICHMENT BY PARTNERING WITH OUR PARTNERS LOCATED AT 251 WEST 11TH STREET IN RIVIERA BEACH, FL WHICH IS OUR PRIMARY FACILITY. THIS PARTNERSHIP ALLOWS US TO PROVIDE VARIOUS SERVICES TO RESIDENTS IN THE COMMUNITY. THESE SERVICES ARE CATEGORIZED; EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS; HEALTHY FOOD AND GENERAL NUTRITION RESOURCES; MUSIC APPRECIATION AND CULTURAL ENRICHMENT INITIATIVES; NEW AND SMALL BUSINESS INCUBATION SERVICES; MENTAL HEALTH SCREENINGS AND ACCESS TO COUNSELING; YOUTH MENTORING AND RECREATIONAL SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES; WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AND SKILLS BASED LEARNING. THE ALPHA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HAS INCREASED THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS IN OUR MENTORING PROGRAM (MEN OF TOMORROW), WHICH IS ENTERING THE 33RD YEAR OF OPERATIONS IN PALM BEACH COUNTY. ALPHA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HAS IMPLEMENTED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, WHICH INCLUDE APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THE MARINE AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRIES. THIS PROGRAM WILL ALLOW US TO PROVIDE AT-RISK, HIGH-RISK AND UNDERSERVED YOUTH, JUVENILES, AND EX-OFFENDERS WITH THE TRAINING AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES THEY NEED TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE AND CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
