Organizations Filed Purposes:
The goals of MADTA are to have every dog be a good canine citizen and a well-loved family member. A volunteer, nonprofit club that welcomes all dogs to our training classes in Obedience, Rally, Agility and Conformation.
The club sponsors two independent teams that compete in an annual DACOF and DOCOF competition. These events are state competitions in agility and obediance bring together dog enthusiasts from all over Florida. The teams are sponsored by the club and help to fost member comaraderie. These events are heavilily attended by spectators, therefore getting great exposure and advertising to the club activities.
The club sponsors dog events sanctioned by the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club. These program events generate expenses for items required to host the events. Community members with dogs compete in various competioions including dog agility, obdience, rally and lure coursing. Entry fess generated by these events are charged to cover the expenses. Over 2,000 dogs from local communities complete annually.
The club holds monthly meetings as well as seminars and clinics to educate members and the general public on the care, training and exhibition of dogs in rally, obedience, agility and conformation. Trained dogs abecome responsible members of the community.
