THE DOGS SURVIVE BY EATING DISEASED CARCASSES OF CHICKENS DISCARDED BY POULTRY FACTORIES, AND DRINKING WATER POLLUTED BY FERTILIZER FACTORIES. STERILIZATION IS TAKING PLACE AND RELOCATION OF THE ANIMALS IS IN THE PLANNING STAGE. IN JORDAN, NFA PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN ENDING THE MASS KILLING OF STREET DOGS AND WE PROVIDE FUNDS FOR FOOD AND SPAY AND NEUTER EFFORTS ON THE GROUND. NFA ALSO WORKED TIRELESSLY TO HELP ABUSED, ABANDONED AND HOMELESS DOGS IN CROATIA, GREECE, MONTENEGRO, ITALY, THAILAND, URUGUAY AND THE PHILIPPINES PROVIDING FOOD AND MEDICINE AND INSTITUTING SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAMS AND ENSURED HUNDREDS OF DOGS LIVE BETTER LIVES. IN THE PHILIPPINES, NFA CONTINUED WORK TO END THE DESPICABLE DOG FOR FOOD TRADE AND IN MINDANAO NFA HELPED FUND AND OVERSAW THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SANCTUARY, THE FIRST OF ITS KIND THERE, TO PROVIDE A HAVEN FOR RESCUED STREET DOGS, MANY OF WHICH ARE NOW BEING FOSTERED AND FOUND FOREVER HOMES. IN THAILAND, NFA SUPPORTS A RURAL SANCTUARY IN A REMOTE AREA NEAR KANCHANABURI, LITERALLY FOUR HOURS FROM THE CLOSEST VETERINARIAN.IN A STUNNING ACHIEVEMENT, NETWORK FOR ANIMALS USA INC. RELOCATED A FAMILY OF 28 SOUTH AFRICAN ELEPHANTS TO A NEW WILDERNESS HOME FAR FROM POACHING AREAS, WHERE THEY WILL BE SAFE FROM IVORY HUNTERS AND FREE TO BREED. ELEPHANTS WERE HUNTED TO EXTINCTION IN THE AREA MORE THAN 100 YEARS AGO, MEANING THIS RELOCATION HAS IMPORTANTLY REINTRODUCED THEM TO THEIR TRADITIONAL HOME.
