John Knox Village of Central Florida Inc, a 501C3 not-for-profit continuing care facility for the elderly, established this Foundation In 1992 to assist In implementing the strategic and long range plans of the Village, to make grants and gifts in support of the effective and eff1c1ent use of Village facilities and to engage Village residents in actIvItIes which promote the physical, spiritual and mental health of the residents of this Village.

Capital Funding - During the year the Foundation granted funds to John Knox Village of Central Florida for the rehabilitation of facilities for use of the residents.
JKV Foundation, Inc. provides financial assistance to financially needy residents of John Knox Village of Central Florida, Inc. An endowment fund is maintained for this purpose. Priorty is given to residents with health care needs. Needs are identified and recommended for coverage by the life care committee of John Knox Village of Central Floria, Inc. Their recommendations are then acted upon by JKV Foundation, Inc's board of directors and grants are made to John Knox Village of Central Florida, Inc. to pay for these needs. Assistance includes home health assistance so persons may remain in their residence, moving expenses when the person is required to move to a facility with a higher level of care and bills for hearing aids, eyeglasses and dental work.
Nursing Home Auxiliary Volunteers raise funds which are used to support and supplement needs of Majestic Oaks skilled nursing facility, which is a program of John Knox Village of Central Florida, Inc. Volunteers provide a Christmas party and provide gifts for each nursing home resident.
