The Foundation operates for charitable and educational purposes by advancing education and research in the field of emergency medicine. Multiple conferences and seminars which addressed critical and timely topics for emergency care providers were held thoughout the year. Accredited continuing medical education (CME) courses were offered via live training, webinars, and online through our learning management system. We continued to offer the "Safe Opioid Prescribing for Acute Pain" course to help meet Florida state mandate for DEA license holders. FEMF provides continuing education to more than 5,000 of the nation's emergency care providers.
