THE ANNUAL PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN SERVES TO EDUCATE TODAY'S CONSUMERS ABOUT THE VITAL ROLE OF A REALTOR THROUGHOUT THE REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION, AS WELL AS THE MANY BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH A REALTOR THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS. AT THE SAME TIME, THE CAMPAIGN EDUCATES CONSUMERS ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION, THE MANY BENEFITS OF HOMEOWNERSHIP, AND THE LOCAL HOUSING MARKET. WITH LOW INVENTORY AND RISING PRICES, BUYERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT A REALTOR TO HELP THEM SECURE A HOME IN TODAY'S COMPETETIVE MARKET, WHILE SELLERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT A REALATOR TO SEE IF THEY MAY FINALLY HAVE THE EQUITY THEY NEED TO MAKE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE. THE PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IS FUNDED BY A $25 PER MEMBER ANNUAL ASSESSMENT THAT IS COLLECTED WITH DUES; NEW MEMBERS ARE ALSO ASSESSED $25 WITH THEIR INITIAL DUES PAYMENT. THE COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE IS CHARGED WITH DEVELOPING THE CAMPAIGNS' MESSAGING AND MEDIA BUYS, WHICH ARE THEN APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
