Executive Offices (Mayors Anti-Bullying Initiative) To solicit and accept funds to launch an anti-bullying campaign in middle and high schools in the City. Executive Offices (Mayors Neighborhood & Community Summit & Leadership Training) To provide workshops and a forum for neighborhood and community volunteers. Executive Offices (Mayors Veteran Advisory Council) To solicit and accept funds to promote and conduct operations and events to recognize the services of veterans who reside in the City and surrounding areas and to offer assistance as may be needed. Funds are also used for the Humanitarian Awards Recognition Program. Humanitarian awards are given to one student at each of the middle and high schools in Orange County. Executive Offices (Recognition Committee) To plan and hold various types of recognition events. Executive Offices (See Art Orlando) To solicit and accept funds to commission and install art in public places within the City.
Orlando Police Department (Various Committees) Charitable, educational, and marketing for public safety and outreach. Approved activities include hosting an international conference for police chiefs, the installation of "IRIS" cameras throughout the City, a mentoring program for troubled young adults, a neighborhood watch citizen observer program, a volunteer program for administrative purposes, a chaplain program for the spiritual needs of officers and their families, crime prevention through environmental design (neighborhood rehabilitation program), a citizen recognition through awards program, a counseling program, a school crossing guard program, a Police Explorer program, an Operation Positive Direction program, the Boone Cadet program, a fund to assist officers injured or killed in the line of duty and their families during their time of crisis, a fund to help officers and professional staff who have been seriously injured in the line of duty or those with serious life threatening medical conditions and their respective families during a time of crisis, and a fund to purchase a police officer memorial to display at the City of Orlando police headquarters.
Orlando Venues (Tinker Field Historical Plaza) To solicit and accept funds to be used for the acquisition, conservation, or maintenance of the historic landmark commemorating more than 100 years of Orlando baseball and social history on Tinker Field.
