ToolsContinued to develop open-source software tools that equip the global church to confirm and refine the faithfulness of their own Bible translations.The major release of translationCore 2.0 occurred on August 23, 2019, expanding checking to the entire Bible, including support in any gateway language (GL) which has been translated and aligned to the Greek or Hebrew.The translationNotes tool was added to translationCore and includes support for checking numerous figures of speech (such as metaphors, idioms, abstract nouns, and hyperbole). This allows for checking of any Biblical text from both the Old and New Testaments.We developed a prototype of a content editor for our checking tools called tC Create.We updated DCS, our content management service, with two major releases this year. These provided critical security updates as well as several important features for our content development teams.9 Major releases of our openly-licensed resources, including edits and alignments to our two premier resources, the unfoldingWord Literal Text and unfoldingWord Simplified Text, and refinement of nearly every story in our unfoldingWord Open Bible Stories.
